Intel

Intel (short for intelligence) allows the operation to perform meaningful actions, both civilian and military. Intel needs to be collected zone by zone to get a full picture of the region. Zones without intel are shared grey.

Gaining intel

You can gain Intel over zones by either:

• placing your HQ at or near zones
• purchasing initiatives that automatically give Intel on zones
• moving a soldier unit into a zone
• having a surveillance drone fly over a zone
• placing a Garrison at a zone

Note that in Campaign mode, map feature Regional dialect slows down gathering intel, Intel decay causes loss of intel in and around Insurgent controlled areas.

Relevance of intel

Intel allows the operation to do several things:

• Learn more about a specific zone, including its demographics and concerns
• Roll-out most initiatives
• Respond against Insurgent activity and threats
