The Genie's Curse is one of the Official Scenarios in Rebel Inc was add along in Dollars & Disasters DLC.

Description

Archeologist try to collect the Lamp depot

In this scenario, player play in the Southern Desert, in search of a new depot called "The Lamp" that spawns over time (every 100 turns, often in no-intel zones). The player must use the expert "Archeologist" which unearths a Lamp and grants the player a Wish.

There are 3 wishes to choose. Each has an "Advantage", but also another "Disadvantage", both of which are randomized.

If the lamp is spawn in zones that Insurgent are control, they won't destroy it like a usual depot. It still dramatically increases Insurgent Capability over time so they must be pushed out.

Advantage

  • Disable Corruption. (Honour)
  • Disable Inflation. (Clever Vizier)
  • Give 500$. (Fortune)
  • Place 6 Garrisons at random. (Protection)
  • Place 12 Blockades at random (Blockades can be destroyed by insurgents, but also stops them from fleeing in combat within its zone). (Control)
  • Destroy all Insurgent Fighter and Camps, also prevent them from spawning in 6 months. (Destruction)
  • Train 3 Coalition soldier immediately. (Faithful Allies)
  • Train 2 National soldier immediately. (Steadfast Followers)
  • Gain 3 random Player Tactics. (Power)
  • Gain 100 Reputation. (Influence)

Disadvantage

  • Insurgent attack more frequently (Insurgent attack cooldown is reduced by -6 turns).
  • Reduce current income by 50%.
  • Reduce income to 0$.
  • Reduce the current and max deployment time of Coalition soldier by two thirds.
  • Reduce Initiative rollout speed by 67%.
  • Increase Corruption Risk by 75%.
  • Lock the game speed to x3.
  • Very significantly increased Insurgent Capability.
  • Lose 0.5 reputation per month.
  • Increased current Inflation go up to 100% and future Inflation by 5%.
  • Insurgent gain 2 random Insurgent Tactics.
