Southern Desert
Southern Desert is the 3rd map you unlock in Rebel Inc. The majority of the cities and towns are located in the north near the river. One lone town isolated in the southeast. A highway is cut into a long stretch of desert, dividing a vast desert in the west and mountains in the east. Several farmland areas can be found near the northwest and east of the region.
Geography
The map can mainly be split into a northern and southern section, the northern section being any zone adjacent to a river, the southern section being those zones not adjacent to the river.
The northern zone features the map's biggest city, holding the highest proportion of the region's population by far out of any zone. Many smaller cities are speckled about the northern section of the map, with rural zones running along both sides of the river. A small cluster of mountains is seen in the northeast as well as some right north of the giant metro city.
The southern part of the map consists of entirely of remote zones, both mountains and dry, open desert. There is, however, one small city isolated from the others, called Gulf Kilo.
A highway slices through the middle of the map, going from very south of the desert, up through the central small city, and then into the giant city before ending. Main roads branch from the highway that runs through the center and run to the east and the west parallel to the river, as well as bending around the mountains in the south to connect with the small isolated city. Main roads are also present along the other side of the river in the northern section of the map. Dirt roads are found in the mountains and in the open desert.

Game strategy
In most cases, Insurgents will spawn either in the desert or the mountains in the south-east area. But sometimes, they'll spawn in the north very close to the cities. Main Road is a priority here as the isolated city in the south is rather hard to defend if Insurgents spawn there and it helps with containing Insurgents in the western desert areas. Otherwise, invest in Garrisons first. Since it's very common that people will demand for water here, you should invest on it outright for building support as it's likely to meet their concerns outright and continue building a good amount of support.
