Embassy Evacuation is one of the Official Scenarios, added along with Flying Fury, Dark Tunnels and Corporate Development in version 1.1.2.

Description

In this scenario, Peace Negotiations begin immediately. The HQ and 7 embassies are placed in static locations on the Black Caves map. The goal is to protect all until the embassies are evacuated.

Gameplay

A coalition soldier unit is immediately funded and trained at the start of the game. After a few turns, military initiatives will be available. This unlocks the "Embassy Evacuation" initiative to start evacuating embassies. Peace Negotiations are started immediately, and a limited number of civilian & Government initiatives are available, the majority of them funded already. As insurgent activity has no effect on reputation, one must instead dedicate their resources to protect all embassies until they have been evacuated.

When embassies are able to evacuate, pop-ups will appear in all zones with embassies that can be evacuated. Only one may be evacuated at any given moment. After that, the extraction team enters a cooldown period. Victory is achieved when all embassies are removed successfully, or, alternatively, survive long enough for the peace process to complete, which causes all zones to come under government control.

Trivia

  • The player not only starts off with some support level, but also starts off with some corruption risk (32%), inflation (10%) and 8 government-controlled zones with some local support level, which means that the scenario is actually an existing operation where the player intervenes after they have secured some zones.
  • The player can neither reject deal nor demand concessions, meaning the only way to gain reputation is waiting the zones to stabilize on its own.
  • The Negotiator advisor has no effect on the peace progress.
  • Since it is impossible to evacuate embassies with insurgents in the zone, the scene shown in scenario icon is actually not possible. However, it is possible the image instead portrays the extraction team escorting the negotiators while the embassy itself is destroyed by the team to prevent insurgent access.
